What Does a Reflexology Session Involve?

Reflexology treatments usually last about one hour. However, the first session is usually an hour and a half, as Linda will run through and record your personal details, medical history and lifestyle. A form will need to be completed and all information is kept strictly confidential.

You will then be asked to remove your shoes and socks and to lie comfortably on a reclining chair or treatment couch with your feet raised.

Linda will then begin by applying pressure to your feet. The application and the effect of therapy are unique to each person. A treatment schedule may be discussed at the end of the session, and a course of treatments may be recommended depending on your body's needs.

After a reflexology treatment, your body may respond in a very definite way, some people feel very relaxed and some lethargic, nauseous or tearful, but this is transitory and is part of the healing process. However, it is important to feed this information back to the practitioner.
